Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information WebForge (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to the WebForge application and related services (the “Service”).

1. Information we collect

Account information

When you sign up using email and password or Google Sign-In, we receive your email address and a unique authentication identifier, and—if you use Google—your display name and profile photo. Authentication is handled by Google Firebase Authentication.

Usage and account data

• Your credit balance, subscription tier and status, and credit-transaction history.
• Operational logs of requests you make (such as the endpoint used and credits consumed) to run the Service, enforce limits, and prevent abuse.

Content you submit

When you request a scrape, we process the URL you provide and the web content retrieved from it to produce your result. We do not use the content you retrieve to build advertising profiles.

Payment information

Payments are processed by Paddle, our Merchant of Record. We do not collect or store your full card details. Paddle provides us with limited transaction information (such as subscription status) needed to operate your account.

2. How we use information

• To provide, maintain and improve the Service.
• To authenticate you and secure your account.
• To manage credits, subscriptions and billing.
• To enforce usage limits, prevent fraud and abuse, and ensure reliability.
• To respond to your support requests.
• To comply with legal obligations.

3. Legal bases

Where the GDPR or similar laws apply, we process personal data to perform our contract with you (providing the Service), to pursue our legitimate interests (security, abuse prevention, and improvement), to comply with legal obligations, and—where required—on the basis of your consent.

4. Service providers we share with

We share data only as needed to operate the Service, with providers acting on our behalf:

• Google Firebase — authentication and identity.
• Cloudflare — application hosting, storage, and network/security.
• Firecrawl — retrieval and conversion of web content for scrape requests.
• Paddle — payment processing and billing as Merchant of Record.

We do not sell your personal data. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, users, or the public.

5. Data retention

We keep account and usage data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Retrieved web content is processed to return your result and is not retained as part of a long-term profile of you; transient caching may be used to improve performance. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize associated personal data within a reasonable period, except where retention is legally required.

6. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can exercise these rights, including account deletion, by contacting us at webforgesupporte@gmail.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

7. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted transport (HTTPS), encrypted storage of credentials on your device, and server-side access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. International transfers

Our providers may process data in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

9. Children

WebForge is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide additional notice where appropriate.
