Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of the WebForge application and related services (collectively, “WebForge”, the “Service”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

WebForge lets you retrieve content from publicly accessible web pages and convert it into structured formats such as Markdown, HTML, links and summaries. The Service is provided on a software-as-a-service basis and may evolve over time as features are added, changed or removed.

2. Eligibility and accounts

• You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction, to use WebForge.
• You are responsible for the activity that occurs under your account and for keeping your sign-in credentials secure.
• You agree to provide accurate account information and to keep it up to date.

3. Credits, plans and billing

• Use of the Service consumes credits. Each account receives a free monthly allotment of credits, which resets periodically.
• Paid subscriptions provide additional or expanded usage as described at the time of purchase.
• Payments are processed by our authorized reseller and Merchant of Record, Paddle (Paddle.com). Paddle handles billing, tax collection and payment-related support.
• Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You may cancel at any time; cancellation stops future renewals and takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use WebForge to:

• access, collect or process content in violation of any law, regulation, or third-party right, including intellectual-property, privacy and data-protection rights;
• bypass authentication, paywalls, access controls, or a website’s technical or contractual restrictions, including its terms of use or robots.txt directives where these apply to you;
• collect personal data for unlawful purposes, spam, surveillance, or harassment;
• overload, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to any system or network, including ours;
• resell, redistribute or misrepresent the Service, or use it to build a substantially similar competing product; or
• circumvent credit limits, rate limits, or other usage controls.

You are solely responsible for the URLs you submit and for ensuring you have the right to retrieve and use the content you request.

5. Intellectual property

WebForge, including its software, design and branding, is owned by us and our licensors and is protected by applicable law. These Terms do not grant you any rights in our intellectual property except the limited right to use the Service in accordance with these Terms. Content you retrieve through the Service belongs to its respective owners; we claim no ownership of it.

6. Third-party services

WebForge relies on third-party providers for authentication, hosting, payment processing and web-data retrieval. Your use of the Service may be subject to those providers’ terms, and we are not responsible for third-party services we do not control.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that retrieved content will be complete or accurate.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, WebForge and its suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim, or USD 50.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the Service or other users. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the operator’s principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country of residence remain unaffected.
